Lauren was born and raised on the north side of Houston, in the Tomball/Spring area. Always a bit on the dramatic side, Lauren participated in many church plays during her childhood and dove into to the realm of technical theatre in high school.
While studying tech theatre at Sam Houston State University, she had a change of heart and redirected her focus to mass communications, journalism and pr. It was during her years at SHSU that Lauren met Russell, who, nearly ten years later would become her husband.
After college, Lauren explored many career opportunities, but quickly discovered that her passion lies in the non-profit marketing arena. Her jobs have varied from patient advocate to customer experience development, and from project management to program development and marketing. Although her role has morphed over the years, her heart is still in the same place and her desire to help others never ceases.
On a personal note, Lauren married to her college sweetheart, Russell in the fall of 2008. Soon after their marriage, they were blessed with a puppy son named Cash. And they all lived happily ever after… well, most of the time.
